I can not say enough wonderful things about Ricky. We met by chance, and within probably about a week and a half, he had me out on home tours. He followed my "wishlist" to a T, and the first home we saw ended up being the home that I purchased--though we looked at several others, and he was never once pushy through the process. He was very honest and insightful every step of the way, and he went above and beyond multiple times over for me--right down to picking me up and dropping me off for all of the tours and the closing itself. His negotiation skills were amazing; he helped me get the house I loved quickly and for the price that I wanted it at. Even now that I've officially purchased the house, Ricky remains in close contact--periodically emailing me or texting me with suggestions that I've asked him for (contractors, home security, etc.). As first time home buyer using Ricky and now being a seller using Ricky --- In the beginning we almost decided to sell our home as a "FSBO" but Ricky's presentation on why his full service representation would benefit us was a no brainer. As opposed to our first option of being a for sale by owner we would not get any of the benefits Ricky offers and have a smaller buying pool with no advocation. Back in June 2016, My husband and I purchased our first home. Our realtor was Ricky Schoonover and I must say - he was a.m.a.z.i.n.g. I got really anxious at times and overwhelmed with buying our first home, but Ricky was just on point answering with all my questions and doing research on all the unknown things that made me worried: like well pump and pool. Many times he went out of his way to respond to our phone calls and text messages after hours and weekends. Ricky worked with us tirelessly for about 8 months while we were searching for our new house in Charleston, SC. He was quite patient and help us through the process of exactly were in the area that was best for us. First time buying a home was sort of a stressful ordeal for me, however, Ricky has consistently been on top of the details. Our second time meeting he was fully prepared with a binder full of property listings that met the specifications of what I was looking for - he drove me to each of the places and allowed me time to make notes on the things I did and didn't like about each.
